It Could Happen to YouCharlie Lang, a New York cop with a heart of gold, wins $4 million in the lottery. However, the day before, having been caught without enough money to tip a waitress (Yvonne), Charlie had offered her half of the winnings. When Charlie's wife, Muriel finds out, she is furious. She is a terribly selfish woman and wants all the money to herself. Soon Muriel files for divorce and sues Charlie for the money. But, everything turns out fine in the end when Charlie and Yvonne fall in love and the city marches behind them. In one particularly funny scene, Muriel is coming out of a very posh store in NYC wearing a brand new fur coat that she has bought with Charlie's money. Little does she know that she has walked into the middle of an animal rights picket. As soon as she steps out of the door, a disapproving activist throws red paint all over her new fur. That's our Emily! It Could Happen to You was Emily's very first movie. Her father, Caleb, was the cinematographer, which is most likely why she was hired as an extra.
